Perhaps you’ve heard about the recent phase out of credits on the Toyota hybrids. What’s the deal? It’s not all bad news though. Toyota’s hybrid sales have been so successful, they’ve surpassed the 60,000-unit tax rebate threshold set by the IRS, proof of hybrids’ popularity.

Fret not—there are still a lot of tax credits available to help stretch your vehicle buying dollars. Yes, the federal government offers tax rebates for several types of alternative fuel vehicles. If you’ve been thinking about purchasing one, but the initial cost has been holding you back, check out these tax breaks designed to help you make the jump.
