Google Goes for the Sun

It’s where most of us go when we’re looking for answers. Go Google it, right? The highest ranked search engine on the internet, Google is notorious for thinking outside the box—look what they’re up to now:

At its Mountain View, California headquarters, Google is set to begin building a rooftop solar-powered generation system that will generate 1.6 megawatts of electricity—enough to power 1,000 homes. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, this is the largest customer-owned solar electric system at a corporate site in the United States.
