No Flow? No Go!

Sunday January 7, 2007
January. Brrrrr. Our bodies rebel a little (or maybe a lot). The squirrels, who can’t dig into the frozen terra firma, are scampering up the bird feeder pole and stealing the sunflower seeds—and, if Fido lives outside, his water bowl freezes solid. Chances are, when it’s this cold, the fuel in your diesel or biodiesel-powered car is feeling a little thick and lethargic too, and the first place the trouble shows up is in the fuel filter. The tiny little pores plug solid with waxy residue and then you’re stuck solid wherever you last parked. No fun at all—and you need solutions. Well, we have ‘em. If you haven’t done so yet, take a look at our trio of articles that discuss the pitfalls of this stormy relationship: winter weather and diesel engines. We tell you how to avoid most problems and how to fix ‘em too—when, despite your best efforts, things still go wrong.
And, if you’re at all like us, you like to put a face to a name, it brings a little familiarity. So take a look at our bio page—we added a photo—and see just who we are.
