Test drive: 2007 Toyota Prius Touring Edition

In a niche market that is quickly becoming mainstream, Toyota has gone from mild success to experiencing surging demand for the "little hybrid that could"--the Prius.

The loyalty and passion of Prius owners are legion, and after driving this fun little car for a week, we can see why. Pulling out on just the whisper-quiet electric motor is oddly appealing. Passing gas station after gas station without having to pull in for a fill-up is exhilarating. Watching the on-board Energy Monitor display the car making electricity as it glides to a stop, well ... that is just too cool!
