Test drive: 2007 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4x4 flex-fuel

Wednesday June 27, 2007
It’s the circle of life. Well … OK, not quite that. But it is full circle. You see, way back in 1908, Henry Ford built his side valve Model T to run on ethanol and/or gasoline. Seems old Henry saw the potential of ethanol—particularly for do-it-yourself, self-reliant farmers who often chose this carburetor variation on the trucks they ordered.

Fast forward about 80 years and enter the 2007 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4x4 flex-fuel truck. It’s one of Ford Motor Company’s FFV models that can run on either gasoline or ethanol. It may have taken some time, but it looks like Mr. Ford’s original plan has come full circle. Read our review of the Ford F-150 King Ranch 4x4 flex-fuel and take a look at the F-150 King Ranch photo gallery to see the latest in hard-workin’ alt fuel trucks.
