VW Dieselution Tour

It's a whole different world than it was 30 years ago. Even the term "alternative fuel" is one that's been added to our vocabulary in that time. And with all those changes comes the need for education ... and that's just what Volkswagen of America, Inc. is doing over the next four months as they travel and educate folks with their Dieselution Tour.

The 53-foot-long, double-expandable Dieselution semi-trailer will offer interactive displays and exhibits that cover everything from alt fuels (like biodiesel) and sustainability, to a carbon footprint calculator and VW's diesel history. And it's all in the name of teaching about clean diesel technology. We can't help but notice that the tour is also a perfect kick-off for VW's up-and-coming release, the all-new clean diesel 2009 Jetta, which is scheduled to go on sale in the spring of 2008 and will be available in all 50 states.
