The 2008 Malibu Hybrid is Here

Wednesday March 12, 2008
Just took delivery of the completely redesigned for 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid for a test drive and review week. The non-hybrid version of this classic nameplate has received great reviews so far, and our own About.com Cars guide, Aaron Gold, thinks Chevy did a pretty darn good job putting this package together.

Our initial impressions? Dang good lookin' piece... pretty darn comfy (at least the front seats)...nice and roomy with a big trunk (sparse stowage is often a complaint with hybrids as the battery usually takes up a good chunk o' space)...and a very generous warranty. But here's what stopped us cold--the sticker: $22,790 for a nicely equipped hybrid. Wow, can't beat that price tag. So we wonder, where did Chevrolet drop the ball--if at all?

Take a gander at Aaron's review of the new Malibu for a primer, and then be sure to stop back in a week or so to get our take on its hybrid brother.
