Road Test: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid

Chevrolet is looking to make a statement with the 2008 Malibu. For one, she's been completely redesigned from the ground-up and a beauty she is, both inside and out.

Even cooler is she can now be had in hybrid trim--but not a full-bore, "you can drive a coupla miles in electric mode" type hybrid. No, this is GM's mild, slightly-watered down version with BAS technology (though we've heard that a full-on two-mode may be in the works a few model years out). Can't wait for that one, but meanwhile, see what we thought of the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid wearing handsome new sheet metal and sporting a snappy new cockpit.
