2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid photo gallery

Adorned from front-to-rear and side-to-side with HYBRID badges, logos and graphics, it's hard to miss the GMC Yukon two-mode hybrid as it sails by on the highway.
That's what GM intended. They want the motoring public to know that the big SUVs built by the General are going Green.
It seems like a natural fit. SUVs have been clobbered in the media (and practically everywhere else for that matter) for their horrendous fuel mileage. So why not bolt a couple of big electric motors to the drivetrain--let them do a good portion of the grunt work--and push up the vehicle's average fuel economy up by, oh say, 30 percent? Sounds good to me.
Take a look through our 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid photo gallery and see if its bold statement appeals to you. Like what you see? Meander over to our '08 Yukon Hybrid review. And if this two-mode travelin' is really gettin' under your skin, take a look at Jason Fogelson's (About.com's SUVs guide) review of the Yukon's cousin the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Two-Mode hybrid. --Scott
