GM's HCCI Saturn Aura First Drive

Wednesday June 11, 2008
Last week we featured an in-depth article that answered the question, What exactly is HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) ... and how does HCCI work? Go ahead and read it for a primer, and then be sure to come back and take a ride with me as I tool through the streets of beautiful White Plains New York on HCCI power.

That's right, GM brought a Saturn Aura HCCI test mule to the East Coast for an automotive media introduction and briefing--and then, for those of us lucky enough to get an invitation--they threw us the keys for a little downtown traffic romp. Oh the fun! I do love cars and I do love engines, so let's go for a ride in the Saturn HCCI Aura concept. --Scott
