Mitsubishi i MiEV and i MiEV SPORT

The i MiEV: Mitsubishi's innovative electric vehicle. With plans to launch in Japan in 2009, the i MiEV electric vehicle made its first US show appearance in New York in March 2008. It's powered by a 330-volt lithium-ion battery system mated to a permanent magnet 47 kW electric motor. Range: up to 100 miles per charge. There's also an i MiEV SPORT model that uses a 3-motor system with two in-wheel motors driving the front wheels and a single motor powering the rear wheels. Check out this gallery for more details.
