2008 Saturn Vue Green Line Hybrid Belt Alternator Starter

The heart of the BAS hybrid system, the motor/generator is driven by a serpentine belt from the engine crankshaft. In motor mode it assists propulsion and starts the engine after Auto-Stop. In generator mode, it charges the hybrid battery.
