08 Tahoe/Yukon Hybrid engine bay

Under the hood of the 2008 Yukon and Tahoe Hybrid is GM's 6.0-liter Vortec gasoline V-8. It's equipped with Active Fuel Management, cam phasing and late-intake valve closure for high fuel efficiency. To the left is the hybrid system electric inverter.
