At GM's 2009 model lineup preview event, we had just about a 10 minute driving experience in the new 2009 Chevrolet Silverado two-mode Hybrid. That's not much time to formulate a meaningful and in-depth opinion of a vehicle and its sundry characteristics. But what we did see (and feel), we liked. As with other Silverados we've driven here at Hybrid Cars and Alt Fuels, this one felt powerful and secure. And the little bit of "testing" we were able to throw at the hybrid drivetrain showed it to behave similarly to other General Motors 2-modes we've test driven (Cadillac Escalade Hybrid and GMC Yukon hybrid).
