What is a ZEV - Zero Emissions Vehicle?

Definition:

ZEV is an acronym for Zero Emissions Vehicle. A ZEV has zero tailpipe emissions and emits 98 percent cleaner emissions than the current model year's average vehicle. Electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles qualify as ZEVs.

Examples: The hydrogen-powered Honda FCX has been certified as a ZEV.
