The hybrid battery is tightly and securely packed behind the rear seat. We removed the cover for the photo, but this is a technician only serviceable part and owner access is not intended. At a rated output of 13.8 kW, this battery pack creates a lot of heat. Notice the vents at the top of the pack cover. Air is drawn through a louver on the rear package shelf and across the battery to maintain optimum operating temperature.
