2008 Toyota Prius Touring Edition engine bay

The plug-in Prius gets essentially the same driveline hardware as the regular variety: an efficient little 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, and mated between it and the transmission is the electric drive motor. The big difference? More batts for the plug-in.
