Coming in at number 10 on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's list of top ten fuel economy leaders, the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE features a new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine along with an all-new version of Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain. The 2012 Camry Hybrid LE has been heralded as truly new generation, boasting a more than 30 percent boost in fuel economy compared to earlier models, an improvement Toyota attributes primarily to the new hybrid powertrain, along with lighter vehicle weight and optimized aerodynamics.
