Test Drive: 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid
Tuesday June 5, 2007
The price of gasoline is through the roof. What’s the best way to ease the pain? Well, don’t use it of course, but that’s hardly feasible for most folks. Use less? Now there’s an idea.
Hybrids have a well-earned reputation for fuel efficiency— hey, it’s their hallmark, and the 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid fills the role superbly. Cruise down the highway on your daily commute and this car sips a paltry 3.6 ounces of fuel for every mile it goes. Nice! Take it on a city commute where the electric motor really gets a workout and the average fuel consumption drops to 3.0 ounces per mile. That’s not even a Dixie cup. Wow! But guess what? The fuel efficiency is only the icing on the cake. This car is an absolute blast to drive.
