Eco-driving for a Pile of MPGs

Friday June 20, 2008
We keep singin' the same old song: fuel prices, fuel prices, fuel prices. We don't make 'em, we just report 'em. They may have settled just a bit lately (probably waiting for a new surge or spike), but y'all keep askin', "how can I save some gas?"

Well, Scott has opened his treasure trove of secrets just for you. Sit beside Scott on a pseudo-drive and learn how to tack an extra 20 percent onto EPA ratings, whether you have a Civic or a Suburban. Take a crack at a couple of Scott's Thrifty-Drive techniques, and see if you don't note the needle hovering on the full mark a little bit longer. Give 'em a try, shout back, and let us know what you think. Is it "all that and a bag of chips" or a pile of bunk?
